Permission to quote Maya, or to send anything automatically.
Call with Maya Chen, VP Customer Success at Morrow Analytics.
Thirty minutes on video. Maya asked for the call after we met at a customer success meetup last year.
What she said
- Morrow's larger customers get stuck when an account moves from sales to implementation. Her point was that the customer ends up explaining its own setup twice.
- Nobody owns the middle of that handoff. Sales closes, implementation picks the account up about a week later, and the customer waits.
- She has no fix for it yet. It comes up in her quarterly reviews.
What she asked about
- How other companies structure the handoff.
- Whether a short written standard is enough, or whether it needs a role behind it.
What she did not ask for
- A proposal. No pricing, no statement of work, and no next meeting.
My read
She is interested in the problem, and there is no budget conversation running. The useful thing here is our handoff checklist, not a pitch. This is my interpretation of the call and not something she said.
Next step I set myself
Check back in a quarter, or sooner if Morrow announces anything about onboarding.
